Jessica Adams graduated from Weber State University in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She started teaching for Ogden School District in the fall of 2014 and today she is a Special Education Behavior Specialist for OSD. In 2020, she graduated from Capella University with a Master's Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. Prior to 2014, Jessica tutored and worked for the Upward Bound program through Weber State University; a program which she attended while in high school. As a first generation college student and second generation immigrant, she credits her drive for higher education to her parents and the Upward Bound program. Jessica has volunteered for Awesome Autistic Ogden since it was founded and continues to support the foundation any way she can. She is passionate about education for all students and fiercely advocates for the neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ community. Having a teenage child in the LGBTQIA+ community, Jessica has seen firsthand the power of a supportive community. She has seen the beauty that happens through diversity and inclusion. Jessica wants all voices within the Ogden community to feel heard, seen, accepted and included. She hopes her work with the Diversity Commission will do just that.
