OGDEN – The Ogden City Council is encouraging residents to share their personal memories and traditions associated with the annual Pops Concert and Fireworks. This longstanding event, held on the Sunday before Pioneer Day, brings together thousands of individuals on the campus of Weber State University to enjoy music and a dazzling fireworks display, making it a highly anticipated occasion in the community each year.
The Ogden City Council recognizes the significance of the Pops Concert and Fireworks as a cherished tradition in the fabric of Ogden's culture. In an effort to preserve and celebrate the memories connected to this event, all residents are invited to contribute their stories capturing their experiences.
Residents can participate by submitting their stories using the form found on the Council’s website at www.ogdencity.com/popsmemories. Submissions will be accepted through July 7, 2023.
Selected memories will be featured in the Council meeting scheduled for July 11 as part of a recognition of the event.
