OGDEN — The Ogden City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Lisa Stout as the new Management Services Director, following an extensive selection process by Mayor Michael P. Caldwell.
Stout, a long-time Ogden City employee with extensive experience in budgets and finance, expressed her commitment to public service and her readiness for the new role.
"I'd like to say how honored I am that you would put your faith and trust in me,” she told the Council. “I hope to continue to be someone with integrity that you can rely on for sound advice."
Stout has been with Ogden City since 2007 and most recently served as the city’s Comptroller, where she managed the annual budget, grant management, and advising managers and directors on fiscal budget matters.
Mayor Caldwell acknowledged Stout's contributions and reiterated his confidence in the appointment.
"I felt it was really important to be here to say thank you to Lisa for what she has done for our city,” he said. “She has been an outstanding employee for a long time."
City Council Chair Angela Choberka commended Stout's efforts, particularly throughout the budget process.
"I respect Lisa so much,” she said. “Over the years she's worked tirelessly to make sure we have answers to our questions as we consider the budget. As a Council, we're looking forward to her leadership in this new role."
As the Management Services Director, Stout will oversee various aspects of city operations, including financial management, human resources, information technology, and others.
The Ogden City Council looks forward to collaborating with Lisa Stout and anticipates a productive tenure.
