Monica Gil is the Equity and Access Family Engagement Administrator/Supervisor of Ogden School District. Monica began her career as a social worker in Ogden working with patients and families within skilled nursing facilities, homecare, and hospice. After 7 years as a social worker, Monica began her career within Ogden School District as a school counselor after earning her Master's Degree of School Counseling. She transitioned to the Parent and Family Engagement Administrator/Supervisor in 2022. Since then, she has served as the facilitator for the Ogden School District and Community Advisory Council on Equity and serves on the OWCAP Policy Board, Ogden City Intergenerational Poverty Coalition, and the Utah Coalition for Community Schools. As a first-generation college student and second-generation immigrant Monica is passionate about diversity, inclusion, equality, and education. In 2022, she joined the Ogden Diversity Commission to utilize her knowledge and skills set to continue driving her passion for equality in Ogden City.
