Technical Assistance Reimbursement Program

Ogden City offers a Technical Assistance (TA) Reimbursement Program to support low-to-moderate income microenterprise owners who are working to create, stabilize, or expand their business within Ogden.

The TA Program aims to enhance the capacity of microenterprises by addressing skill and knowledge gaps. This initiative is designed to empower recipients to effectively meet the needs of their communities.

Through this program, eligible business owners can receive reimbursement for training provided by an approved Technical Assistance Provider. These providers offer instruction in critical business skills—including topics like business planning, financial management, and marketing—in both English and Spanish.

Approved providers also support applicants with completing the TA reimbursement application and submitting all required documentation.

Currently, the Suazo Business Center is an approved Technical Assistance Provider.

Who is Eligible?

  • Microenterprise owners (5 or fewer employees, including the owner)
  • Low-to-moderate income individuals
  • Registered Utah Businesses located within Ogden City limits

Program Process:

  1. Assessment & Planning: Meet with an approved Technical Assistance Provider to evaluate your business needs and determine appropriate training opportunities.
  2. Application Submission: Complete the TA Reimbursement Application with guidance from the provider, ensuring all eligibility criteria are met.
  3. Training Completion: Participate in and complete the approved business training sessions aligned with your development goals.
  4. Reimbursement Request: Submit all required documentation for review. Upon approval, eligible training expenses will be reimbursed through the program.
