Community Art Show | Food

Deadline for Submission: Monday, March 2nd by 4:00 pm.

The Community Art Show is looking for artists of all ages who work with any medium to submit work to the Food exhibition.

Artists are invited to explore the meaningful connection of food to human and global experience.  Ranging from growth to sustenance, creation to insecurity, food is a connection to identity, work, culture, survival, family, celebration, and more.

Artwork may reflect the rich emotions that are connected to food, such as traditions, memories, or comfort.  It may consider the creation of food – from individual ingredients to family recipes, preparation to presentation.  It may further consider those who nurture and provide food - the farmer to harvester, forager to chef de cuisine, and more.

This show is open to artists who presently reside in the state of Utah. Original works in any medium are eligible. REPRODUCTIONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.  Work must have been completed within the past two years. Artists are limited to two entries. Maximum surface size is 48” X 48”.

Entries must be ready to display. If the piece needs to be displayed in a hanging position, it must be mounted, matted and or framed, or otherwise ready to display in exhibition condition. Wire hanging system installed on hanging artwork is required.  Works submitted without a wire will not be accepted.

Works must be presented in a manner that is acceptable for public viewing of all ages. Works that may be offensive, derogatory, or pornographic will not be accepted.
